Building Safety Case Manager
The role
Hollis’ Building Safety & Fire service is seeking a dedicated Safety Case Manager for our London office. This role involves delivering building safety cases and related projects, in line with The Building Safety Act 2022. Hollis is collaborating with high-end clients to manage a growing portfolio of work, offering significant opportunities for business development.
This position is ideal for a principal designer, risk professional, project manager, or Chartered Building Surveyor with a passion for building safety and fire. You will work alongside market-leading professionals, taking the lead on developing safety cases, identifying risks, gathering evidence, and creating comprehensive reports that align with building compliance. You will also be responsible for updating safety cases to reflect evolving standards.

Main Responsibilities
- Develop building safety cases in accordance with The Building Safety Act 2022, identifying major hazards and demonstrating building safety.
- Conduct surveys and investigations to gather information related to risks, including design specifications, materials used, and maintenance records.
- Compile information and write detailed reports that demonstrate compliance with current safety standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather data and facilitate additional work required by the safety case.
- Update safety cases in line with evolving safety regulations.
- Manage client relationships and identify new business and growth opportunities in this area.
- Procure consultants and chair meetings to share and review evidence.
- Support other business areas in delivering project work aligned with strategic objectives.
Your Profile
- Experienced in building surveying, project management, principal designer, risk professional, building control, or fire safety role, with a solution-focused approach.
- Good knowledge of The Building Safety Act 2022 and building safety compliance standards.
- Strong interest in building safety and fire.
- Proven experience in the built environment, ideally within a consultancy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in preparing and developing safety cases is desirable but not essential, what is important is a strong emphasis on problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel across London for surveys and client meetings.
