Fire Safety Consultant
The role
Hollis’ Building Safety & Fire service is seeking a dedicated Fire Safety Consultant for our London office. Hollis is collaborating with high-end clients to manage a growing portfolio of work, offering significant opportunities for business development.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review fire safety strategies for new and existing buildings.
- Conduct fire risk assessments (FRAs), including Fire Risk Assessments of External Walls (FRAEW) in accordance with PAS 9980.
- Lead the development of Building Safety Cases: investigate building safety risks, gather and analyse evidence, and produce comprehensive written safety case reports for presentation to clients and regulatory bodies.
- Advise on regulatory compliance including Building Regulations, Approved Document B, and the Fire Safety Act.
- Liaise with stakeholders including architects, developers, and local authorities.
- Support clients with fire engineering solutions and evacuation planning.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practice development.
Your profile:
- Degree in Fire Engineering, Building Surveying, or related discipline
- Membership of IFE, IFSM, or similar professional body advantageous
- Proven experience in fire safety consultancy within the real estate or construction sector
- Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation including in-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and its implications for high-risk buildings
- Demonstrated experience conducting FRAEW's, developing building safety cases beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, client facing and able to build and maintain relationships across a range of internal/external stakeholders
