FM Consultant
The Vacancy:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer/consultant to join our FM Consultancy team after another exceptional year. This is a young service that has generated a healthy pipeline of work already and we need an enthusiastic, motivated FM Engineering Consultant at Intermediate or Senior level, to develop our service offering further.
This is a unique role offering clear progression whilst working with a diverse range of key clients across several market sectors. Our FM Consultancy team supply our services across the UK and beyond, so you will ideally be based out of our London office and be flexible to travel as required, however we are open to the role being based in Manchester Glasgow or Edinburgh for the right candidate.
You will be able to take ownership of your role and contribute as a vital player within Hollis’ FM Consultancy service.
The key responsibilities for the role:
- Managing a portfolio of existing properties and clients, conducting maintenance audits, chairing contract review meetings, and providing technical support to clients
- Managing hard services FM maintenance contract tenders for our clients and effectively managing contractors
- Facilitating the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance requirements
- Working knowledge and an interest in ESG, net zero and decarbonisation strategies and technologies.
- Work closely and communicate effectively with other Hollis services to support with effective delivery of works
- Producing asset registers, advising on energy saving opportunities, problem solving on site and being the client's trusted consultant
- Acting as a single point of contact for a variety of clients, build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders
- Involvement in business development, cross-selling of Hollis’ services and successfully managing all aspects of client care
- Input into the growth of the service and existing team
- Manage project finances, produce fee proposals, manage WIP effectively
Experience, Qualification & Skills Required:
- Relevant engineering degree, or facilities management related qualification inclusive of building services modules or equivalent education/practical experience is desirable
- Previous experience of working in a technical or management FM role, ideally within a consultancy environment, however perhaps alternatively from FM maintenance contractor, or technical client side role
- Knowledgeable in statutory compliance, regulations and standards relating to operational/existing building services
- Confident, client-facing and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in maintenance management, auditing maintenance contractors both in terms of site surveys and documentation reviews
- Strong knowledge of all MEP building services
- Full driving licence and prepared to travel for site visits on a regular basis
