Cost Manager
As a Cost Manager, you'll join our growing Belfast team and work alongside experienced Cost Managers and Project Managers to support the successful delivery of a wide range of real estate projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain exposure to all aspects of pre- and post-contract cost management. You'll assist with preparing cost plans, tender documentation, valuations and cost reports, whilst working towards professional development and chartership.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll gain hands-on experience throughout the project lifecycle and build the foundations for a successful career in cost management.
Main responsibilities:
Work closely with your Cost Management Director to support the delivery of cost management services across a range of projects
Assist with the preparation of feasibility estimates and cost plans.
Support pricing exercises and benchmarking studies.
Assist with preparing tender documentation and evaluating tender returns.
Attend site visits and project meetings to monitor progress and gain project exposure.
Support the preparation of valuations, cost reports and financial updates.
Assist in identifying project risks and opportunities that may impact costs.
Work collaboratively with the regional Project Management team to support project delivery.
Maintain project records and assist with financial administration, including project billing and WIP management.
Follow company Health & Safety procedures and best practice.
Demonstrate and promote the Hollis Company Values.
Take ownership of your professional development and work towards achieving chartered status.
Your profile:
Degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or a related construction discipline.
1-3~ years experience within a real estate Cost Management/Quantity Surveying role
Interest in pursuing RICS/SCSI chartership
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience of AutoCAD or other construction-related software would be beneficial but is not essential.
